In a 92 thousand square meters of exhibition space divided into thirteen thematic halls, over 2,000 companies presented their most innovative solutions for the future of the sector. The focus of this edition is on the themes of transition and progress<\/strong> in light of recent developments regarding the PNRR and the new Transition Plan 5.0<\/strong><\/a> which provides 6.3 billion euros for the period 2024-2025. All of this, told in an immersive and synergistic journey that involved 62 thousand visitors from all over the world.<\/p>\n

MECSPE: digital and energy transition<\/h2>\n

In its twenty-second edition, MECSPE was the meeting point between production technology and industrial supply chains, representing the importance of this synergy in creating value for the manufacturing industry of today and tomorrow. The aim of the fair is to discover the latest technological trends and face the challenges of the future. To this end, during the three days of the event, current and primary important issues were touched upon, including innovation as a strategic asset to address the digital and energy transition<\/strong>, promoted by the 5.0 Transition Plan of the Ministry of Business and Made in Italy (MIMIT).<\/p>\n

Organized by Senaf, MECSPE explored green industrial transformation through the integration of advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence and collaborative robotics to optimize production processes and improve efficiency. The event offered a broad overview of innovations and emerging solutions in the manufacturing sector, focusing mainly on digitalization and sustainability<\/strong> as key elements for corporate competitiveness in a constantly evolving market.<\/p>\n

Energy transition and sustainability<\/a> were at the center of two important conferences of this edition. Among these, the \u201c2035 and the automotive supply chain<\/strong>\u201d forum focused on the transition of the automotive industry, providing a macroeconomic and technological vision of the automotive sector thanks to the intervention of experts and specialists. Also interesting was the Aluminum Energy Summit<\/strong>, in its second edition, during which we took stock of the concrete contributions and technological solutions expected for the aluminum industry to achieve the necessary circular economy and decarbonization objectives.<\/p>\n

Finally, the fair was an opportunity to analyze and discuss the data relating to the third quarter of 2023 of the new MECSPE Observatory on the Italian manufacturing industry, in the presence of representatives of MIMIT – Ministry of Business and Made in Italy. Despite a decline compared to the same period in 2022, the Observatory found a medium or high level of satisfaction from entrepreneurs in the sector (8 out of 10), with a stable or increasing short-term turnover for 63% of companies.<\/p>\n
